We have collaborated with the state's executive and legislative branches, the Department of Transportation, and local community leaders and organizations to achieve this goal. MPTA Executive Director
John Dulmes
John Dulmes is Executive Director of the Michigan Public Transit Association, the organization representing public transit providers across our state.
John has been MPTA Executive Director since August 2024, and he previously worked as the director of the Michigan Chemistry Council in Lansing and in federal policy roles for a national trade association and a US Senator in Washington, DC.
As MPTA Executive Director, John is responsible for the development and implementation of the MPTA’s strategic direction, along with oversight of goals, membership development, policies, programs and procedures to fulfill the organization’s mission.
