A Light Filled Life

Jesus bids us “Shine with a clear, pure, light.”
Pastor says “Make of yourself a light, Let it shine for all to see.”
Buddha said, “Be a light unto yourself.”
Easy hmmmmm!
I feel that light streaming, shining, warming
as I wake in the morning, with the dawn rising
getting up – stretching
Full of great thoughts – Love – fresh ideas – thankfulness
curtains flung open no shade or shame
No time for sin, it dims the light
Instinctively, in my heart, I know it's true
With out the light, we live, lost and alone
deep at the bottom, a cold dark cave
Heart beating wildly,
Breath shortened – sinking – drowning
Hands stretched out in anguish, needing help
Needing to be brave and honest and kind
Look inward, reach for the light
That is God in you!
